Who reads Rational Times, what we publish and the ways brands can work with us — on our terms of independence.

Who we are

Rational Times is an independent digital news and media house covering India and the world: politics, business and markets, technology, science, climate, health, law, sport and culture. Our journalism is built on verification — every news story lists its sources — and on clear labels, so readers always know what they are reading.

What we publish

  • Daily news, organised by date, section, country and state, with a verified daily briefing.
  • Explainers and guides in Learn, a glossary, Institutions A–Z, timelines and reference lists.
  • Data and tools: the data hub, markets pages and free calculators.
  • Visual journalism: photo galleries, web stories, videos and India in pictures.
  • Newsletters and a free reader account for saved stories and followed topics.

Ways to work with us

  • Display advertising on the home page, section pages and articles. Units are responsive, so they fit phones, tablets and desktops, and every one is labelled “Advertisement”.
  • Newsletter sponsorship — a single, clearly labelled sponsor message in an edition.
  • Partner content — written for or by a brand and marked Sponsored, under our sponsored content policy.

Audience figures

We share current figures — page views, readers and newsletter subscribers, taken from our own analytics, with the dates they cover — on request. We do not publish audience estimates we cannot back up.

Artwork

Send images as JPG, PNG or WebP, with the landing-page link and the dates you want. We do not accept ads designed to look like our journalism.

What we will not accept

  • Advertising dressed up as news, or political advertising presented as journalism.
  • Misleading health, financial or “get rich quick” claims, and anything unlawful.
  • Any arrangement that gives an advertiser a say over what our newsroom covers.
